Hosting Multiple Sites

By Militant

Have you ever read forum or blog posts by other affiliates who talk like they own hundreds of affiliate niche sites and wonder how they afford it or keep up to it all?

Actually, it's pretty easy if you plan it right. As of right now, I have 92 active affiliate niche sites that I easily manage from my main hosting account. They all have their own domain name and they all promote a very tight affiliate niche for either eBay, Amazon, Google, CJ or one of the many smaller affiliate programs that I belong too. Virtually all these sites use self-updating RSS feeds and require very little maintenance or attention from me. I like to use the "Showtime Grill" method; Just set it and forget it! Now I have more personal time and more money then I ever had working for the state as a forensic psychologist.

To host multiple sites, all you need is one $10.00 a month MASTER hosting account with a primary domain name, unlimited bandwidth and the ability to have an unlimited number of "add-on" domains. My primary domain name is -themilitantaffiliate.com and I have all my other domain names stored in different folders on the same hosting account. When someone clicks a Google listing going to one of my other domains, they are automatically taken to the assigned folder on my main hosting account without ever realizing it.

Hosting Tip: To save a lot of money over the course of the year, I use two different hosting services. My main hosting account is with HostGator because HostGator is a fast, reliable and affordable host with all the features I need, but GoDaddy sells add-on domain names much cheaper than HostGator does. Keeping my domain registrations at GoDaddy and my sites on HostGator isn't complicated. I just tell GoDaddy to "point" the add-on domain name at my HostGator account and the rest is automatic.
